Topshelfers's Terraria Review PC, 50-100 hours played

I remember them claiming this was a "2-D Minecraft". The only thing this game really shares with Minecraft is blocks. I would say that is a good thing as well. Where the game is at now is incredible. Charm, fun, and aesthetics are all characteristics that this game knocks out of the park. There is a clear progression with the game with challenging boss battles and enjoyable spelunking. I haven't felt like the boss battles are unfair, even after several attempts on a few of them and having to grind out better gear. This game can be played on several different difficulties and I think any gamer would find something they enjoy doing. From hard-core sweat to something casual to burn a few hours, this game will give you something to fit anything. The thing that gets me is its charm. The art work is simple at its core but they are able to make it extremely complex with the layers. It also adapts a very dark side when going up against bosses like "The Wall Of Flesh".

At this point, I think Terraria is a house hold name for gamers. Whether you have tried it or haven't, its popularity reaches all corners of the gaming world. I can't recommend the game enough. The biggest thing as well, you can play WITH friends. It is the perfect game to open up a world with the homies, hop on in-between your main game, and just hang out. I'm personally playing it with a friend while we watch some anime on discord. Which is like the new couch co-op.

Its 20.00 and you'll get hours of entertainment. One thing that is super important to me with gaming and the ever increasing price of them is how much entertainment am I getting for my dollar. Ideally, I want 1 hour per dollar I spend. I think this is a fair enough exchange. Sometimes I am willing to let that go if the game is extra special like Stray. However, I hold onto this pretty strong. With Terraria, I spent $20.00. I am close to 60 hours and I think I will easily get 150+ given what I still have to do in the game. Easy money spent.

8/10
