Karma

Karma is essentially a representation of all of your contributions to byte1ife. As you earn more karma, you will unlock new privileges and features. Karma can be earned by completing several actions, including:

• Logging into your account.
• Adding games to the game index.
• Writing game reviews.
• Creating forum topics and replies.
• Commenting on news posts.
• Voting in polls.
• Receiving likes from your content.
• Referring new members to the site.

If you would like to see more details regarding your own personal accrual of Karma, please check out the main page of your Account Control Panel and select Karma Details. It will give you somewhat of a breakdown of how you've earned your Karma, along with what you've unlocked. Much more coming on this in the future!

Member referrals

One method of gaining significant karma (while also boosting activity and interaction on the site) is referring new members to the site. You can do so by getting someone to register using your unique URL:

Awards

Awards are another way of recognizing your contributions and achievements. They can be earned in a variety of ways; some secret, some not so secret. They serve as excellent bragging rights.
