Hello, this is just a general thread about the genre of metal music. Feel free to post about bands, instruments, or whatever tickles your fancy when it comes to this heavenly genre. I know there's gotta be a couple of metal heads out there. Lets get it going!

Well well. Currently digging August Burns Red myself. Heavy as hell, and still really melodic. As well, Misery Signals album Controller. Such amazing transitions, as well as amazing vocals. both highly recommended.

I am somewhat a fan of August Burns Red...I have not listened to them much, but their song "Back Burner" is awesome. I need to give them a few more listens. I am currently really into the bands Tool, Pantera, and Lamb of God. Are you familiar with them?

Big fan of Lamb of God and Godsmack. Also in to Slipknot, The Devil Wears Prada, and Pantera.

Ahh yes, battle of the GODs lol. I love these bands particular because of the metal drumming. Joey Jordison is faster than lightning and Chris Adler always satisfies my need for ass-kicking fills. I am also very much a huge fan of Shannon Larkin, the drummer for Godsmack...and don't even get me started on Danny Carey from Tool...he's just a machine when it comes to playing the kit.

I'm not really into those bands, I like Nickelback a lot though. Their heavy riffs and catchy lyrics never cease to amaze me.

Trololololol...haha speaking of Nickleback...I wonder if Portugal is ready to rock??

Lawlz...those aren't my type...I'm more of an alkaline kinda guy. Those are the kinds of TOOLs I remember from basic chem lolol...speaking of Tool..I can't wrap my mind around Danny Carey's epicness. Everything he does is absolutely phenomenal. New album expected for this year. CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!!
