I've been using the Pixel 3 XL for a couple months now, after using the Pixel 2 XL, and I gotta say, I love it.

Thoughts on the pixel line?

Did you ever use the 1st gen? If so, I would be curious to hear about your opinions regarding the evolution of the devices. Have they added enough throughout gen 2 & 3 to keep you satisfied? Also, do you have any sample pictures you've taken with the Pixel 3, perhaps of some outdoor subjects? I would love to see the quality!

Personally, I scooped up an OG Pixel several months back when my (second or third, can't remember) Nexus 5X finally gave out. I got it for a little over $300 on Amazon. It was new, not certified refurbished and it had 128 GB of storage so that was awesome. It of course synced right up to my Google Fi plan. Coming from the Nexus 5X and the 5 before it, it was a natural evolution for me to choose this phone. The camera on the 5X was already pretty good but the Pixel's is great. Especially with the recent addition of Night Sight for low-light subjects, it is definitely one of the main selling points of the whole Pixel line!

I like the design, though many have hated on it. Do you care about the notch? I don't at all, but it's gotten a lot of hate online.

Any peripherals, or are you like me and just use the phone with a minimal case and nothing else?

Here's a couple shots from my Instagram (no filters, none needed):

I've used the Nexus 6P, skipped the 1, and used both the 2 and 3. 6P to 2XL was a huge difference.

I'll have to share some photos, night sight is amazing!

Whelp, as of this morning my Pixel has officially began bootlooping. My Nexus 5 and 5X each did this to me a handful of times as well and ended up bricked. I suspect the same for this Pixel....it wasn't even six months old! D:<

Google is offering the Pixel 3 for $200 off right now, so I'm thinking about giving it a shot. This time I'll have a warranty since I'm not buying two generations behind. D:

Rumor has it they will be announcing a Lite version of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in a couple months..

Yikes, I hope the 3 works good for you. If not, come join me on the Samsung train!

So far I am completely in love with my Pixel 3. I ended up getting the 128 GB Just Black Pixel 3 on Google Fi of course. This time around I made sure to purchase the two year protection plan so that I can ensure I get two years of use out of this phone. I have had simply too many instances where the only reason I got a new phone was because my previous one was bootlooping.

As expected, the camera is fantastic on here. Shooting outdoors in lots of natural light will undoubtedly generate some great shots. And of course, Night Sight shines even more with this camera.

Lots of people said Google is not taking hardware seriously because there is still visible bezel around the screen...lol! This is the most bezel-less phone I've had so far so I see no reason to complain.

Rumor has it the Pixel 3a and 3a XL are coming soon to fill in that budget friendly void left behind by the Nexus family.

Very much so looking forward to the Pixel 5! Just waiting for a Black Friday deal and I'll be ordering it for sure. My Pixel 3 is still doing great but I am interested in a few of the upgrades that this thing comes with, mainly the bigger screen, better refresh rate, bigger battery, camera improvements, reverse wireless charging, and extra waterproofing. I also like the extra RAM they included so I'm less likely to encounter apps closing due to lack of memory.

Now I am hesitant to pull the trigger...it seems likely that Google will finally debut a Pixel phone with one of their own in-house chips early to mid next year. I'm pretty sure they've been working on this for several years. With the recent success of Apple's M1 chip and M1-based MacBooks, I can't help but get excited at the prospect of Google silicon! They've already done some cool stuff with the Visual Core chip and Neural Core chips, and of course the Titan M chip!

I am doing an unheard of quadruple post, but it looks like I am indeed getting the Pixel 6 with the in-house developed Tensor chip! Very excited. Should run Android 12 beautifully. :D

I will miss my Pixel 3 very much. It is still running very nicely and the battery gets me through all day even with using it a decent amount throughout the day, even after 3 years!
