Nintendo DSFeatured upgraded 3D graphics with a unique clamshell dual screen (one of them being a touchscreen) design, stylus, stereo speakers, a microphone, and wireless online functionality. Originally intended as a "third pillar" amongst the GameCube and Game Boy Advance, strong sales led to it becoming the successor to the Game Boy series. A refreshed Nintendo DS Lite was released on March 2nd, 2006. A further refreshed Nintendo DSi was released on November 1st, 2008, with a larger DSi XL following on November 21st, 2009.
