Hey all,

Just curious if anyone tuned into the PS5 event to see some game reveal as well as the console itself. I'm curious to hear your thoughts about upcoming games or even games that haven't been announced yet. As a huge FROM SOFTWARE fan, I can say that I am quite stoked about that Demon's Souls reveal. I never had the chance to play it for PS3 back in the day, but after discovering Bloodborne, Dark Souls and Sekiro, I am ready for a new challenge. Anyone else feel the same way? I'd love to hear your thoughts--I fucking love these games.

I saw they finally unveiled it and saw a few pics, but haven't seen the video yet. I will have to watch it tonight after work. Looks pretty cool, but admittedly wouldn't blend in with my TV setup very well D: I like the minimal look of the Series X, but finally built my own PC rig so I don't know if I'm super in-need at the moment.

I know you love those games, haven't gotten a chance to try them. I just know they're super hard!

EDIT: Just watched the reveal and I gotta say, they definitely showed off a lot of new games! Looking pretty solid. Still think I'm gonna stick with Xbox/PC/Switch combo though.

I actually really like the look of both the Series X and the PS5. It through me off how Sony strayed from the solid color and went with the dual-tone of white/black. I actually think it would look cooler though if they had an all black option with the blue light (same for the controller).

Well, I know Bloodborne isn't available to you (PS exclusive), but I can't recommend them enough. They do take a bit to get used to with leveling and gameplay, and they are punishing. But they are rewarding once you learn and get better.

As far as the games they revealed, I'd say that I'm most excited for Demon's Souls, Spider-Man (Miles), Project Athia, and I've also always enjoyed the Ratchet and Clank games. I'm quite excited for the future and this upcoming next gen..

Now that The Show will be going to all consoles, I have no more need for a PS. The ONLY thing that would possibly sway me into getting a PS5 is if they bring back Drake for another Uncharted game. They didn't announce anything but I am hoping that they have something in the works.

Just give it some time KGfess, they will come out with other editions for sure. Just as an all black (with blue lighting) PS5 would look great, I also think an all white one would look great! Project Athia looks sick! They didn't show much, but knowing that the team behind Final Fantasy XV is involved is comforting. I know you like Ratchet & Clank so that will be super awesome with a fresh coat of paint.

Latdogg, they might have to return to Drake with how some of these initial Last of Us 2 reviews are going. I'm sure it's still a great game and there's plenty of overreaction going on, but ya never know!

I don't doubt that at all. I really am digging that black one you came up with in PS. Bloodborne like the Witcher? Perhaps--that might be a steep comparison. It's really hard to compare it to another 3rd person game. When I first got the game, I didn't really care for it honestly. After learning and getting better, it just clicked and I can't get enough of it. There's so many dope looking choices gamewise. It's always a great time to be alive when a new gaming generation spawns.

Ahhh I see. I suppose I'll just have to give it a try one of these days! Like many others here I struggle to find the time to take on new games. I'm really trying to get through my backlog right now so that I can do just that. I have quite a bit of time off banked at work...I think it's time to utilize some of that! I know you've been telling me how great this series is for some time now.

I'm excited for the next gen as well, and am trying to quickly get more done on here to be prepared for that!
