I have long loved Samsung. Aside from my first smart phone (Blackberry Storm 2) I have used the Galaxy series. I started with the Galaxy S2, S3, S4, and S7 Edge. After using the S7 Edge since 2016, I have finally upgraded. I just got the Galaxy S20 FE. I have only had it for one day but so far it is great. I will post more once I get more time with it.

My first smartphone was also the Storm 2! After several months of usage I cracked it and it became a Crackberry haha.

I've always appreciated the bigger batteries, bigger screens, tons of cameras, expandable MicroSD storage (this is a big one), the usual inclusion of a headphone jack, etc. Their designs are pretty sweet too! I would probably really enjoy using their devices if I wasn't so hooked on the Pixel phones!

Yea, I have heard good things about the Google phones, however, I have never messed around with one. Next time I see you I will have to check it out.

Yes indeed! I will likely talk your ear off about them but there's honestly quite a bit to show off.

I'm sure you have noticed a huge performance increase over the S7 Edge. Is it running Android 10 or 11? How is the photo quality? I'd imagine it's great. I'm also curious to hear how much battery life you're able to squeeze out of it.

Photo quality is amazing! On the back it has a 12MP Ultra Wide, 12MP Wide-Angle, and an 8MP Telephoto camera. The front camera is 32MP. Might not seem like much but the pictures are great. As for battery life, I can easily get 20+ hours. I use it a lot during the day and go to bed with 60%+ on the battery.

Well, you've almost had the phone for another year now. Are you still loving it? Is your battery still holding up? Still pleased with the cameras?

Oh yea, this phone is amazing. The battery is just as good as the day I brought it home. I unplug it at 7am when I get up for work and when I go to bed at 11pm it is usually anywhere from 25-55% (depending on how much I used it during the day). The cameras are great, I am very pleased with how my photos turn out. Aside from that, navigating between apps is fast, load times are quick, and the display is gorgeous. I am in zero rush to replace this guy! Maybe when I move again in 2 years.

Hey Latdogg, at $800, the S22 is only $100 more than the S21 FE. Is that tempting at all? Or would you rather wait for the S22 FE? Or, are you still happy with your current phone for some more time?

I am not tempted at all to get a new phone to be honest. This S20 FE is still amazing, I honestly will probably keep it for at least another 1.5 years. When/if I move back to the USA I will see what deals they have when I get a phone plan.
