Google just had their annual Pixel event and I love what I saw! They announced the new Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel Watch (finally after all these years, I'm personally interested in the LTE model), Nest Wifi Pro, and new wired Nest Doorbells. I am loving watching their ecosystem grow and evolve, and it seems like they're taking this hardware in particular a lot more seriously. Obviously, the elephant in the room is Stadia being recently canceled, but at this point Google has put out 7 generations of Pixel phones (not including the Nexus devices from back in the day) so I don't get the feeling it will be getting the infamous Google axe.
I already have a Pixel 6 and am still quite happy with it, so I'll most likely be holding off on the Pixel 7, although they are offering an attractive $450 trade in for my P6 versus its retail of $599. Even the Pixel 5 is getting a $400 trade-in value.
Did anyone else see all of this news break today? Any thoughts on the new products, or how the tech landscape has been evolving in general?
