Excited for the new expansion for D2. Will definitely revitalize the game a bit more and probably bring me back for awhile. But who else is excited for the expansion and why?

I'm super stoked! Lately Bungie has been catching a lot of flak for Destiny 2, and I understand where everyone is coming from but I still enjoy the game quite a bit and am excited for the Warmind expansion!

I wouldn't be surprised if it's about the same size as Curse of Osiris which is definitely a bummer. But more content is more content...excited to try this Horde-like game mode they're adding. I am most of the way through the new single player content already and almost have my Titan to level 30.

I will definitely be writing a review sometime within the next few days, and I will also have a shitload of screenshots up today.

I am still working on the first expansion, but I do plan to get the second one once I beat it!

I would be happy to help you complete that! The expansions are really only ~5 hours of single player content and are over with pretty quickly. It's the new Milestones/Endgame content they add that are more important - to some, at least.

We are at 13 members in the byte1ife Clan right now, haha. We're almost to Rank 2 though. I'm just inviting everyone I see that isn't already in a clan. Seems to be helping so far..

I just beat the first expansion. I must say, it was a total waste of money. Every single main story mission was exactly the same, literally the same. Is Warmind the same way?

Yeah the Infinite Forest was quite a let down. It definitely didn't feel quite so infinite! There was so much they could have done with it and it felt underwhelming and half baked. The Heroic Strikes and Nightfall Strikes on Mercury were kinda cool in the Simulant Past and Future, but they did get repetitive after a while.

I will say that I do enjoy Warmind quite a bit more. The addition of Escalation Protocol is very nice because it adds more persistent universe public event kinda stuff, which I think is one of the strengths of Destiny. It was nice to see something else take advantage of that. I love just running into random players and teaming up spontaneously to take down a harder enemy. Escalation Protocol has you deal with several waves, with pretty decent loot drops every few waves. It's pretty damn tough to make it all the way to the end (I haven't yet) and it's recommended that your Power is ~380 (aka nearly maxed out).

I liked the new single player missions in Warmind more too, but that could just be personal preference. They did a really good job crafting Mars though, just wish it was a bit bigger area to play around in (although it seems bigger than Mercury to me).

The real kicker is gonna be when Forsaken comes out this Fall. Mitchinator1, if you're still on the fence I'd wait til September for Forsaken. It should do for Destiny 2 what the Taken King did for Destiny 1, which is make it better in just about every way. Taken King really turned Destiny 1 up to 11 in my opinion.

Yea, I'll reassess it at that point. Plus, there's no downside for waiting for DLC, you catch up almost immediately.

Yea, I am going to skip Warmind. I will see what September will bring but I am probably throwing the towel in on the Destiny series.

Well I'll be happy to dive in first and let you all know what I think! Personally I have rather high hopes for Forsaken but we can only wait and see. Only about two months away at this point.
