I'm mainly posting here because I want to rant about my favorite game trilogy, and most importantly, it's bullshit 4th installment.

As you can tell, I don't much care for Andromeda. And not because of the glitches, or the weird facial animations that everybody talked about when it was released. I'm mainly irritated at the fact that it has almost nothing to do with the original story. No Shepard? No Liara? No Garrus? No more information about the Reapers, nothing relating to any of the choices or actions you took in the first three...just...nothing. The only thing the games have in common are that they take place in fucking outerspace. I feel like they tried to capitalize on the Mass Effect name without really doing anything with the original characters or story. I don't give a single fuck about the twins, or finding a new world. I want to know what the hell happened. The ending of the 3rd game was painful enough, but then I get teased with this shit?

I may very well just be bitter about all this, but I'm curious to know if I'm the only one. I just feel a little butthurt about it, and I needed to share my pain lmao.

I am the opposite of you. I enjoy the fact that it isn't really connected to the original trilogy. I think the Andromeda Initiative left the Milky Way in the middle of ME2 and ME3, so they don't have information on the Reaper attack. I loved Andromeda though. It was massive with plenty to do and see. The story was pretty good too, I like that the enemy was something that nobody had information on, you learned as the game progressed. I really hope they do another game because I am curious about the mystery race that created the scurge.

I know my feelings are fairly unreasonable but I just can't un-butthurt myself about it xD I'm too obsessed with Commander Shepard to let go!

I loved Shep as well but his story was over. Exploring Andromeda was awesome, plus it was a lot bigger than the other 3 titles. I am really sad that they won't be doing any DLC for it, I would love to see the Quarian arc arrive as it was implied at the end of the game.
