Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Bhdan's Kingdom Come: Deliverance Review PC, 100+ hours played

By far one of the best open world games i have ever played.

Unlike other games that offer a world of open exploration and loot from the get go, KCD focus' on a more harsh start, which, seeing as you're a poor blacksmiths son, makes sense. Don't expect to out duel someone or steal something too easily, and good luck picking up a book and trying to read!

Whilst KCD's gruelling progression of skills can feel difficult at first, it makes it extremely rewarding when you achieve higher skills and abilities eventually noticing the world becoming your oyster, as it were.

Combined with brilliant story flow and voice acting, and a gripping main questline as well as a multitude of involved side quests and activities, the harsh medieval world of KCD soon becomes a home away from home, whether its a day of hunting with your dog, a ride through the beautiful and ultra realistic countryside on your horse (of choice), raiding bandit camps, sneaking around one of the several towns at night, looking to do a little cheeky thieving, or simply playing dice at one of the taverns and drinking till you drop.

Featuring multiple skill based activities; sharpen your own weapons, concoct your own potions at an alchemy bench etc, or if you aren't into that and more into abounding wealth then you can pay someone else to do that, to save you more time for your own choice of endeavours.

i could say a lot more about this game but its something each person needs to experience for themselves, if you can push past the slow start and unforgiving feel, the game opens up into much much more.

I need to do just that and push through the slow start because I think this game will do a great job tiding me over until Starfield, Avowed, and hopefully one day Elder Scrolls VI arrive. xD I've only put about ~10 hours into KCD so far. After seeing your review I have confidence I'll enjoy it.
