blustrkr's Diablo Immortal Review Android, 10-20 hours played

I've barely just started playing this, but after 10-ish hours I can already say this game offers a much higher production quality than most other mobile games that are out there. That alone makes it a joy to play with.

When the game was announced, a lot of people complained quite a bit about how it was mobile only. I am not sure when the decision was made to develop for PC as well. As of the time of this review, the PC version was in a "public preview" kind of thing.

The gameplay should feel very familiar to Diablo series players

It is the classic Diablo gameplay you remember from the rest of the series, with isometric action RPG gameplay (only up to 4 skills equipped at a time, though), dark-sounding guitar stabs, and online multiplayer. It is simply adapted for mobile/touch-friendly controls and screens. I will try the PC version soon, but I assume it is even more of a traditional Diablo experience.

It's pretty easy to find people to party up with in the various social hubs!

This game is a lot of fun to play if you're solo, or if you're partied up with others. I personally enjoy Diablo both ways. It's nice to see so many other people online in a mobile game though.

Plenty of tiered difficulty areas to explore as you develop your character

The only issue I've ran into so far is a lot of weird audio clipping. I've tried fiddling with the settings a bit to no avail. Luckily I haven't minded too much so far as I've had music playing in the background while I play, but I imagine it will be much more unbearable on headphones or speakers any louder than those in my phone.

I have, admittedly, not put *too* many hours into this yet, but I can already tell from early impressions that it will be pretty fun to play once in awhile. I played the game on Android first, and have now tried it on PC as well. The PC version, predictably, looks much better overall with its higher resolution and vsync. For the price of free, it's hard to beat this free-to-play Diablo experience.

There are tons of microtransactions as with most free-to-play games, but they can all be ignored. I haven't spent any money whilst playing this game and have progressed just fine so far. I have heard of other players dropping thousands in this game already though, still with the possibility of dumping much more. I wouldn't do that, but to each their own. I just think this is a fun online RPG to have around, especially considering it was free! I've always had to pay for Diablo experiences in the past.

I will be updating this review with some more details (and the Guides section with some tips) as I continue playing.

If you like action RPG games or the Diablo series in particular, this will be right up your alley!
