This "system seller" is what really got me and many others into the original Xbox. I still remember the day my parents brought it home with a new Xbox console. It came out a little too early to be released with Xbox Live functionality, but it didn't matter to me. I ended up getting the PC version with multiplayer functionality later.

The campaign was amazing. The first time you set foot on Halo, it really does feel like you're exploring a brand new world, untouched by humanity and shrouded in mystery. I remember being impressed by the friendly NPCs randomly swearing and the intelligence of the enemy NPCs. The Flood was a total surprise and an awesome twist to the story, and after they were introduced it almost gave the game a scary element!
