I remember downloading this game when it was free on the PS Store over two years ago. Since then, Psyonix has still continued dishing out quality and free updates. This game has an insane amount of replay value and never gets boring. I will explain why this is in my top two PS4 games and why I am giving this a perfect 10/10.

Skill Level
The skill ceiling in Rocket League is incredibly high. When you start playing the game, usually you will just try and hit the ball and charge it wherever it may be. As you practice car control (heavily recommended and I will link a video or two which provide in depth tutorials) and rotations, the game really opens up to you. It can be frustrating, but building muscle memory and motor patterns with car movement will help you immensely.

Replay Value/Multiplayer
This game can be looked at as a sports game--for which it is. It can also be looked at as a driving game. We all have loved playing racing games and this has that aspect as well (well, not the racing, but the car aspect). This game simply never gets boring. Along with my first point, the skill level is always something that can be improved. Whether you are a Gold 1, Platinum, or even Champion, you can always improve your skill. This welcomes all skill levels. Not to mention this game beckons people to play together and social interaction. If you can avoid toxic teammates (what game doesn't have these?) and just play at your personal best, you will have a fun experience.

Customization
Who doesn't enjoy customizing your own car? This game allows you to choose from a huge variety and you can seriously customize every aspect. From boost type, to engine sound, to paint and even goal explosions. It is super fun to mess around with.


Amazing Updates
I mentioned Psyonix always puts out quality content without charging the customer/gamer. Over the years they have added incredible elements that continue to add to replay value. Some game modes they have added that have impacted the game are Dropshot and Hoops. They've also added customization areas and crate usage.

Overall, Rocket League is a game that anyone can find fun. It is very hard to master and takes many hours just simply practicing. This is why I enjoy the game--it is fun but also challenging. This game is a must have and is tied with my all time favorite PS4 game. This is why I give it a 10/10.
