One of my all-time favourite games. Although some may say Super Mario Bros 3 introduced a lot of the elements present in Super Mario World, it was Super Mario World that perfected them. The controls feel perfect, and have that high polished feel gamers had gotten used to from previous Mario games.

This game still has an active speedrunning community, as well as modding community, which was only bolstered by the introduction of Super Mario Maker.

Simply put, this is a classic, and has still held up to the test of time.
