Mirror's Edge Catalyst
I was so thrilled when this game was originally announced. I loved the concept of the first game quite a bit, but I knew the game didn't sell super well so I never really expected a sequel, as much as I would've liked one. Well, this ended up being a pleasant surprise for me. :D I'm a big fan of shooters, but what I like about this game is that it discourages using weapons. In fact in Cataclysm, DICE has completely eliminated the ability to use weaponry. Instead, you must rely solely on hand-to-hand combat and free running. Basically,..

Destiny 2
After pouring many hours of my life into the first Destiny, I was pretty excited for Destiny 2 to come out. I had a lot of expectations for the game...mostly, more content! I was hardly a critic of the first game; I simply wanted more! Most of us can agree that the mechanics of the first game were very solid. It was just lacking in things to do. Well, I have to admit that after logging a few days of play time it is indeed the same grind in Destiny 2 as in the first entry in the series. Bungie did seem to take all of the best things..

Garry's Mod
Garry's Mod is the definition of a perfect game. A game in which i believe should be in every PC gamers library. The graphics are still great even years after it's release, and the game play? Well the game play is fantastic. Be anything do anything, a real do anything you can imagine game. My first steam purchase and my most cherished one. -Sam ..

DayZ
Ah, DayZ. A great game concept ruined by a community more toxic than COD and a system performance that leaves PCMR fans weeping as they empty their wallets for the latest graphics card. I love this game it is what made me build my computer in the first place, however the game has went through many changes and it never got a solid first start. With DayZ releasing to version 1.5 they added a "new map" Lavonia. It is meant to be a hardcore survival based map which was taken from Arma 3. The dlc really changed the game for me and it adds..

Battlefield 1
Possibly the best soundtrack in a game I've ever heard. When i play a game and get chills from the music you know it's a great game. A great campaign, would have liked to see it a little longer but still great. A multiplayer which even a veteran fps player such as myself struggles to dominate. I love this game, form the chilling music and the gripping game play. Not only does this game sound good it looks GREAT, one of the best looking games out right now. Fantastic buy for the campaign alone. -Sam..

Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto... A game where you can mod anything and have endless fun. If you want to be Iron man, there is a mod for that. Wan't to cruse the streets of Los Santos as part of the LSPD there is a mod for that. It goes without saying this game is another great one in the series lineup and is sure to provide hours of fun even past the long campaign. -Sam ..

Friday the 13th: The Game
I've never been the biggest fan of Jason movies but i saw this and thought it brought a new atmosphere and more advanced game play then say Dead By Daylight. After playing for about 20 hours i feel i have enough time to make a good review. The games atmosphere is awesome very nerve racking and fearful. The objectives are simple maybe a bit too, however it is needed for the fact that beating Jason is just about impossible. The games are slow especially if you die early on, and that is mainly due to the map size. The maps are too big and cause..

Mirror's Edge
I fell in love with this game when it came out. I was slightly nervous about it because it was a little different than most of the stuff around then, but that was also what drew me in. That, and DICE was making some really great games like Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Battlefield: Bad Company (and BC2 after Mirror's Edge), etc. I was already interested in their games' different aesthetic, and the soft lighting of Bad Company. It features a female protagonist with an emphasis on free-running/parkour and martial arts. In..

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This game is one of my favorites! The open world is huge and allows for hours upon hours of exploration. There are endless main and side quests to keep you busy and they never get boring. I love the character customization options and the way you can level up and grow your character. You can even build a house, get married, and more. There are literally so many things to do it's ridiculous. Add all the characters, lore and the non linear story and you have a serious medieval sandbox. The big down falls of the game are the glitches. While it..

Friday the 13th: The Game
this game always has me on my toes. i love that every little decision counts. and you have to make it in a quick second. it a really amazing strategic game. i lobe the fact that we can be jason and do all the fantastic kills we see in the movies. to be a jason you have to attack with a plan not just go kill. this is one of my favorite games i think this game deserves a 10.,..

The Sims 3
One of my favorite games to play as of today. The graphics are good, even compared to the 4th game. I really enjoy all the different things your Sim can do in the world, especially after a few expansion packs. Lots of different jobs, social activities, and different furniture/household items give the game tons of replay value. The build tools are also really in-depth and allow for a lot of creativity when building, including terrain editing and the like. My only real problem with the game is how heavy and clunky it is to run. It's difficult to..

Halo: Combat Evolved
This "system seller" is what really got me and many others into the original Xbox. I still remember the day my parents brought it home with a new Xbox console. It came out a little too early to be released with Xbox Live functionality, but it didn't matter to me. I ended up getting the PC version with multiplayer functionality later. The campaign was amazing. The first time you set foot on Halo, it really does feel like you're exploring a brand new world, untouched by humanity and shrouded in mystery. I remember being impressed by..

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Honestly one of the best shooters on the market atm. Great for people who like strategy and team tactics. Constantly getting updates as well as new operators every once and a while, keeps the game feeling fresh and always has a new skill you can learn. Maps are great to, great destructibility and means you'll always have to be checking your corners making sure there isn't a peak whole in the wall. If you want a new shooter 100% recommend. ALEX YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GET THIS GAME *cough cough* ..

RollerCoaster Tycoon
This game brings back memories! I've been playing it a lot recently and I've been really impressed with how fun the game still is today. The graphics are obviously a little dated but there's still a lot of charm and personality there. It's very simple and fun, and honestly a great way to kill time and feel a little nostalgic...

Fallout 4
This was my first introduction to the Fallout franchise and let me just say I was very impressed. The shooting/combat aspect of the game is surprisingly fun, considering I'm not much of a first-person shooter fan. Tons of story, lore, character development and CHOICES. The graphics are beautiful, and the game has always run smoothly for me. The settlement building part of the game is a blast as well! Basically, this is a fantastic game that should be in every gamer's collection...

The Long Dark
I'm a huge fan of survival/exploration type games so I was definitely intrigued when I stumbled across this little beauty. It was still pretty early in Alpha when I found it, but it was love at first sight. The art style alone won me over almost instantly! The game has grown so much over the last few years and every update was better than the last. They've recently added a lot of new features, like new animals and wildlife, new food/objects and new challenges. Not to mention the highly anticipated Wintermute story campaign. I can't stress..
