Battlefield 2042
This game still has a lot of fun Battlefield moments, which is why I gave it a despite all of its flaws. I know people out there would disagree with this score, but I legitimately have had a lot of fun playing it with friends. I would not consider it an 8 because that would be calling it great based on the byte1ife scale. If you happen to be playing on Series X|S, PlayStation 5, or PC, it will support up to 128 players in Conquest matches rather than the 64 player limit from previous generations. If you prefer, you can still choose to..

Halo 2
After enjoying the hell out of the original Halo: CE, I was very excited as a kid to see this was coming out. This game took most of the goodness of Halo: CE and turned it up a bit, and it was a lot of fun. This rendition of Halo finally came with an online multiplayer experience on console - the original Xbox. While Halo: CE's PC version did support multiplayer (and at the time of writing, still gets a few hundred players online a day), the Xbox version missed that capability. The addition of multiplayer on consoles and not just PC was a..

Battlefield 2042
The first Battlefield game I ever played was BF 4, I loved it, I still play it, but this BF 2042 has so much potential. First of all, the graphics are great! If you have the Series X Version, you'll be pleased to see those graphics, I personally own the normal version and it still blows my mind with the graphics, my fiancee has the series X version and it looks so incredible, the sound effects are just perfect, there are still not so many options for guns, or vehicles but I really hope that they add more options, not too many maps but they are..

Mass Effect
Mass Effect really showed me what a sci-fi RPG can be, and consequently made me fall in love with the genre. The was what drew me in initially, starting with the intro and BioWare's choice of style of futuristic soundtrack. Similar to Knights of the Old Republic, when communicating with NPCs Mass Effect lets you pick your responses from several choices. Some are aggressive/ruthless (Renegade), some are more nice/friendly (Paragon), and some are neutral. Many of these choices will affect side quests and main quests later on, including in..

Forza Motorsport 2
This was my entry into the Forza series, as I never got the chance to play the first one on the original Xbox. Right off the bat, I noticed that this was not the type of racing game I was used to. You see, I was used to powersliding around corners at 200 mph in various racing games. But I had never before tried a racing . This definitely took some getting used to, and absolutely resulted in a rage quit every now and then. Keep in mind, this was before almost every racing game had a rewind feature. I have countless memories of making it..

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Graphics: Nothing really to write home about here, I believe this game was made for the Wii U and then just ported over to the Switch. Regardless, the Switch isn't really a powerhouse for graphics anyhow. This game doesn't look bad by any means but the graphics won't blow you away either. Gameplay: A literal open world game with minimal direction/guidance. I do enjoy just doing everything as I see fit but sometimes I am really unsure as to what I should be doing. I do not like how weapons break, that gets annoying but it isn't too much of..

Destiny 2
First, this is a FREE game, and you should totally play it, online multiplayer, first person shooter, which I like a lot, you get to use different powers with your 3 different characters, you level up as well as upgrade armor, weapons, your ghost etc. There are challenges, tough ones that you could do alone, but it's also fun to play with other people in the multiplayer campaigns. The graphics are crazy! It looks so cool, and the sound quality is great as well, you should give it a try, if you don't like it, it was worth the try. But if you..

Assassin's Creed Valhalla
This is only the 3rd AC game that I have played (AC 3 and AC4: Black Flag). With that being said, I was itching to jump into 9th century England and ravage the landscape as a Viking! This game is really enjoyable and, as with any AC game, LOADS of things to do. The main bulk of the game will take place in England, however, you are also able to travel to Norway, Vinland (North America), Valhalla, and with the expansions you can now go to Ireland and Paris. Overall a great game and if you have played AC before you will know exactly what to..

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis
It's a real bummer because the graphics are pretty decent for a free MMO, but unfortunately the game is plagued by a lot of stuttering and lagging, even on a capable machine. I have personally not tried this on my Series X yet (where I presume it will run much more smoothly), and perhaps I need to try messing with the graphics settings some more, but honestly the lag is making this game unbearable to play. I really want to get further but simple tasks are taking forever with the lockups every where. It seems to happen anytime you turn..

Elite Dangerous Odyssey
Typing this on my phone so I can't get into too much detail yet, but this game is clearly very underdeveloped. It should have been worked on for a few more months before it was released. Honestly, the planetary graphics looked better in Horizons driving around in my SRV than they do now in Odyssey. The one thing I like is that you can walk on foot with no vehicles finally. So now there is this huge procedurally generated galaxy that goes all the way down to the inch. You do feel quite vulnerable whilst in the middle of nowhere on a..

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of..
I couldn't believe how much content this expansion added! It adds the area of Thebes to the game, and with it the Valley of Kings. In the Valley you'll find the ancient tombs of some of Egypt's most famous Pharaohs, such as Akhenaten, Tutankhamun, Ramesses the Great, and the Queen Nefertiti. Basically, said great Pharaohs have been pissed off by a bunch of tomb robbers who have stolen many ancient artifacts from their tombs. Because of this, the Pharaohs have risen from the dead and are killing the people of Thebes to exact revenge. You..

Assassin's Creed Origins
I thoroughly enjoyed playing this game. As of the time of writing this review, I have about 3.5 days of playtime logged, including playing through both expansions. As much as I love 100% completing games, I did not manage to 100% this. I have many other games in the 'ol library that I still need to get to and not enough hours in the day! With that being said, I certainly didn't rush through the story mode and call it quits either. I have completed several dozen side quests as well. Many nights off after work were spent playing this game, so I..

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas
I played this a while ago on my PC and it was so much fun, this is one of the OG single player games out there and theres quite some things to accomplish on this game, I can't wait to play it on my xbox and have fun, graphics are not the greatest, but thats whats special about this game. ..

Asphalt 9: Legends
If you want to kill some time when you're at work or even at home, this is a good one, you unlock cars as you race, its pretty fun and kinda realistic, the cars looks so real and even some of the maps , I like the graphics and the lighting and some of the visual effects when you are collecting your boosts when you're racing, give it a try and if you get hooked on the game, make sure your phone charger is right next to you lol..

Animal Crossing: New Horizons
I may come back to re wite a review about this game, but so far I have been playing this game for a couple months probably and its quite interesting, at first you have to build your island and get to know your neighbors and doing some tasks to help out your community, but after you're done with that, you basically have the freedom to do whatever you'd like to make your island look prettier and you can invite your friends and hang out in your island or you could also travel to your friend's island. Love the graphics, but the mumbling of every..

Battlefield 4
This is my first "1st person shooter" game i have played on my xbox and I love it, I can't get enough of this game even if I don't do great but the graphics and the sound effects are incredible, more incredible if you own a badass audio system. There are many maps you can play, many guns to choose from and vehicles too (my fav is the M1A2 Abrams Tank) If you want to try a new first shooter game, I recommend this one a lot!..

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers
Shadowbringers has been my absolute, FAVORITE expansion in this game! The storyline is amazing and not at all boring like some previous expansions can be. Overall - I like this entire franchise and can't wait for what's next! (Endwalker) I believe the newest expansion will be released in the Fall of 2021 and I plan to take a few days off to dive into it :) ..

Tom Clancy's The Division 2
Definitely a good game, but not great. Washington D.C. certainly offers a bit more variety to the playable areas, sure. The gunplay is still solid as well, but there is very little that is actually new gameplay-wise compared to the Division 1. Also, it is well known that this is a looter shooter, but the "endgame" (what you do once you complete the main storyline) consists of replaying the same story missions as before, but under the guise of a different "crew" of people taking over the world map, which you must then..
