Destiny 2 - Expansion II: Warmind
This expansion was definitely better than Curse of Osiris, but it still didn't quite hit the nail on the head. I'll just go ahead and get it out of the way since I say this in all of my Destiny reviews: the graphics and art were stellar, as always. Really cool to be back on Mars like in the first Destiny. You can even see Phobos orbiting in the distance (which was a destination in the first Destiny). You'll also see Warsats crashing down after plummeting through the thin atmosphere, and the animations even have basic physics applied...

Gears of War 4
So to begin I have always heard the insane amount of hype around this franchise from so many people. One of those people is my favorite content creator across YouTube & Twitch, GoldGloveTV. I had not played any of the previous games but I saw this go on sale for $20 and had to pick it up. This review will be solely on the multiplayer aspect of the game. The game supports cross platform, for me that is a big must for games in 2018 especially if you want your game to stay active. I usually play King of the Hill or Team Death match, I can..

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
R6S is a wonderful game. Off the bat we can talk about graphics. This game looks and sounds amazing. The amount of detail in the characters as well as the environments is unreal. There isn't any type of campaign as this game is meant to be played online. There is some single player stuff to do though, such as training missions and terrorist hunt. The online portion is where the money is though. Online can be either an amazing experience or a horrible mess. If you just hop into a game with random people you are probably going to have a..

Star Wars Battlefront
It was pretty cool to play a new entry in the Star Wars video game saga, and even cooler to play one developed by DICE. These guys are responsible for a couple of my favorites so I usually pay attention when they come out with something else. One really shitty thing right off the bat is the complete lack of a single player campaign. I'm not sure who influenced this decision at the time (*cough* EA) but it wasn't a good one. There are however some training missions and survival missions that can be completed solo or co-op with a partner...

Gears of War 4
I've gotta say, a comparison I often use with this game is that The Coalition carried on the torch much better than 343 did with Halo 4 and 5. The graphics are quite pleasant to look at, and I hope some of you happen to check out some of my screenshots cause some of them do a really good job of showing off the visuals. The single player picks up with JD Fenix, Marcus Fenix's son. JD will now be the main character of the series and is the character you control throughout the game. To be honest, at the time of writing I don't remember too..

Mario Kart 7
This is a good game, and I've been playing this series (although admittedly with huge gaps of no play throughout) since I was a kid. I gotta say though, besides some minor advances in graphics over the years this series has not seemed to evolve much. I still need to check out Mario Kart 8 or 8 Deluxe one of these days, but for the moment I just have this on my 3DS. I love the online multiplayer component, though I do feel it could be strengthened somehow. But it certainly adds a lot of replay value to the game. However, even this feature..

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered
Nothing too incredible about this remaster, besides of course bringing one of the most beloved entries in the series into the modern age. I played the hell out of this game back when the original version came out along with many of my friends. So, of course it'll be super nice to play. I've already just about wrapped up the campaign and have also sunk many hours into multiplayer again, despite Prestige'ing multiple times in the original. I gotta say, matchmaking is fast as ever which is always great. If you LOVE the series or more..

Crackdown
This was actually the first game I got for my Xbox 360 and it was originally just to gain entry into the Halo 3 Beta, as I'm sure was the reasoning for many other owners. Despite this, I still played the game for quite some time and bought all the DLC and all that fun stuff. I have to give it some credit...new IP isn't easy! It basically took a lot of the open world recipe from the GTA series, but you play as an Agent of the Agency, fighting three different gangs to regain control of the City. There's a cool mode called Keys to the City..

The Sims 4: Bowling Night Stuff
This is an alright stuff pack, however, it's definitely a bit...well, pointless. I mean the bowling feature is cool enough, but I don't feel it's so awesome or relevant that it needed to be it's very own stuff pack. Maybe it'd be more interesting to someone who really liked bowling, I don't know. That being said, the furniture and CAS items really make up for the randomness of the theme. The great hair, and clothes (which I use surprisingly often) add some vintage vibes to the Sims. This pack also happens to come with some great Build/Buy..

The Sims 4: City Living
Visually speaking, I love this pack. The new furniture and CAS items are fantastic, and they have a very cool, artsy feel. A good amount of new clothes and hair, as well as two new traits and a new aspiration comes with. I love that there's a keyboard (as opposed to the huge grand piano that comes in the base game) and a few new skill items like it. There's a decent amount of new content to personalize your Sims and decorate their space. It also includes a new city, San Myshuno, that has a slightly different style to the three base cities...

The Sims 4
I've been a big fan of the Sims games for a while, and I think this is easily the best one yet. Visually, the game is gorgeous, and has a vibrant and clean style. I don't have a very powerful computer, and the game still runs beautifully with the graphics turned up. The building functions are great, and have been smoothed over and simplified compared to Sims 3. There is unfortunately no terrain editing, so you can't be as creative when building. There are also limited customization options for furniture and decorations, so things feel a..

Elite Dangerous
When I first started playing this game, I was aware that the learning curve was quite difficult. It didn't deter me though, and I kept persevering....until eventually it did indeed deter me. I set the game down for more than a year. Then I picked it up again. After battling with the controls and tackling the learning curve again, I started to get the hang of it and something else happened...I became addicted. I've always craved a great space simulation game that I could get into. For years, I wanted to play EVE Online but the..

Minecraft
Where do i even start, Minecraft was originally released in its first version in 2009. I remember watching guys like Seananners and Chilled Chaos play and i thought the game looked so cool. I picked it up first on the 360 and played with my friends for hours. Over the years Minecraft has lost a lot of its fan base. However i still come back and play fairly often. The great thing about Minecraft is how open and free it is, you can get just about any mod you could want, change the look of the game with texture packs and my personal favorite..

Final Fantasy XIV
*My rating of an 8 is for "Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn". Final Fantasy XIV was garbage* Final Fantasy XIV (also known as 1.0) was a terrible game. It was so bad that the producer was fired and the game was shut down indefinitely. Once a new producer was brought on the game was rebuilt from the ground up. After the complete re-working they re-released it; enter Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn (also known as 2.0). ARR is a beautiful and amazing game. It picks up where 1.0 left off (unless you played it from the start,..

Mass Effect
When the was shown at E3 in 2006, I remember sitting with my eyes glued to the screen for the entire duration of the video. This game was right up my alley: RPG, shooter mechanics with biotic powers, decisions with a variety of repercussions, space exploration, awesome dynamic dialogue, and so much more. When I first got the game I remember it taking some time to adjust to the controls. Mind you, at the time I was used to playing shooters like Call of Duty 2 and Halo 2. Once I tweaked the sensitivity I was good to go. However, after..

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Wow. I haven't felt this awe in playing a game since Ocarina of Time. They just plop you down in the middle of the world, give you a few tips to survive, and let you go on your way. If you enjoyed Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, or even the original Legend of Zelda, you will love this game. My hopes were high going in, and were exceeded very fast. A must play...

DiRT Rally
I've been a pretty big fan of the DiRT series since Colin McRae: DiRT, so I was pretty excited when this came out. It was important I understood what I was getting into: this is not just a typical DiRT arcade/simulator hybrid, but rather a full fledged rally sim. I really appreciated the authenticity of this game. When you're driving on rocky, bumpy trails, you can hear every groan of the car as its frame is stressed and you can certainly feel every bump in the controller. I really liked the audio aspect of this game. It made me feel like I..

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands
I have always been a big fan of Tom Clancy games and this one is no exception. My favorite part about this game is it's truly free range play ability. You have no set path you can go into any territory and take on any buchon, just expect a fight for harder buchons. The map is huge, plenty of collectibles and rare weapons as well as intelligence to find scattered across the map. If you like a good campaign you will be pleasantly surprised to find that the campaign in Wildlands is so good! The main villain "EL Sueno" is the head of the..
